SentinelOne Information

Overview and Performance

SentinelOne is a next-generation endpoint security solution that combines high-performance protection with advanced visibility and automation features. Its efficient resource utilization ensures that even during intensive scans, CPU usage remains around 40%, with memory usage at just 5%. Idle usage is notably lower, at approximately 5% CPU and 3-5% memory, ensuring minimal impact on system performance across all device types.

Threat Detection and Penetration Testing

SentinelOne consistently outperformed alternatives in penetration tests. It successfully blocked over three times the amount of threats during penetration testing, often responding faster than other solutions. This demonstrates its ability to mitigate threats proactively and comprehensively.

Common Questions

Why is SentinelOne Agent utilizing more than the specified resources?

It has been noted that if your cloud computer has more than one active Security Solution, such as SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender, Webroot, AVG, Malwarebytes, then there may be some conflicts between the programs that cause resource utilization spikes. In cases like this, it is best practice to only have one Security Solution active, to avoid such conflicts.

If you need any assistance removing MS Defender or SentinelOne from your machine, please reach out to V2 Cloud Support Team.

A specific program on my machine was working, and after SentinelOne was installed, it is experiencing issues.

This could very well be due to outdated or suspicious elements in the program in question, that may be blocked as a precaution by SentinelOne’s advanced Threat Detection engine. If the program is a trusted software, you can reach out to V2 Cloud Support to assist with creating an exclusion for that program, lowering or disabling the Alert level for that specific program only.
