Can I Change the Region of My Cloud Computer?


V2 Cloud offers multiple datacenter regions around the world to ensure the best possible performance and latency. If you need to move your cloud computer to a different region, we can help,but this change must be handled by our support team.

🔄 Can I Change My Region?

Yes, but this cannot be done from your end. To change the region of your existing cloud computer, please contact V2 Cloud Support.

You can request a region change by reaching out to us via:

When contacting us, please include:

  • The name of the cloud computer you'd like to move
  • Your preferred region
  • A time window when the transfer can happen

⏱️ What to Expect During the Transfer

  • The cloud computer will be temporarily unavailable during the transfer.

     
  • The estimated transfer time depends on:

     
    • The amount of storage/data on the VM
    • The source and destination regions

       
  • We'll coordinate with you to minimize downtime.

  • There is no additional cost to change regions.
  • A new IP address will be assigned.
  • We recommend scheduling the transfer during non-peak hours to reduce disruption.
